"Not all who wander are lost"

I am from the City of Detroit and South Eastern Michigan, USA.
My entire artistic career has been centered in the photographic medium.

Recently I have returned to concentrate on my first love in photography (believing in the power of the photographic image) - A Fine Art approach to socially and culturally relevant documentary photography.

My photographic fine arts education was at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI.

I balanced my artistic drive with a freelance photography business creating compelling images for the commercial photographic market. Assignments ranged from environmental portraiture and picture stories for consumer magazines (including Forbes, Business Week, New York Sunday Magazine). Also editorial work for numerous corporate, trade and marketing publication including IBM, Unisys, Buick etc. For the corporate market, my work has included product photography, sales brochures, annual reports and collateral marketing materials.

I am currently represented by the Monroe Gallery of Photography in Santa Fe, NM. I contribute to some online publications and collections including API (Art Photo Index at Photo-Eye), Social Documentary Network, Lensculture, and Demotix (see the menu - "Links"). I am also reaching out to organization and NGO's to assist in their work and humanitarian projects.

Essentially, photography allows me to question the indefinite relationship between reality and perception.  My work is a constant journey toward authenticity.
